The Farm Neck Foundation, an independent charitable corporation created by Farm Neck Golf Club to provide charitable assistance exclusively for the Vineyard, has announced its annual grants for the year 2010. This year’s grants total $44,150. The recipients are:

Island Community Chorus receives $2,000, to help purchase a sound shell.

Options in Education (Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School) receives a $3,000 challenge grant to fund its artist-in-residence, project period and mentorship programs.

Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living receives $3,000 to help purchase a laptop, projector and advertising materials to kick off their Great Awakening campaign.

The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society receives $2,000 to purchase instruments.

Windemere receives $900 to fund an intergenerational creative drama program.

The Martha’s Vineyard Cerebral Palsy Camp (Jabberwocky) receives $3,650 to fund summer kayaking and sailing programs.

The Martha’s Vineyard/Dukes County Fishermen’s Association receives $1,000 to help defray costs of travel, mailings and fund-raising.

Rising Tide Therapeutic Equestrian Center receives $3,500 to help with tuition for children otherwise unable to participate in its programs.

Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard receives $5,300 to fund patient care volunteer training.

Featherstone Center for the Arts receives $2,800 to purchase professional portable art walls.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Early Childhood Programs receives $2,500 to fund three editions of Family Matters.

Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust receives $3,500 to contribute towards the cost of establishing a summer theatre series at the Grange Hall.

Let’s Move Martha’s Vineyard/Dukes County Health Council receives a $2,500 challenge grant to help raise funds for promotional materials and interactive Web site.

Martha’s Vineyard Helping Homeless Animals Inc., receives $2,000 to help fund a spay and neuter program.

Massachusetts Audubon/Felix Neck receives $1,500 to help fund a part-time citizen science coordinator.

The Farm Institute receives $5,000 to purchase a walk-in freezer.
