Student Theatre
A silly buffoon and a whiz kid saving the world will be the featured one-act plays performed by students from the charter school at the Vineyard Playhouse on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.
Ubu is an adaptation of Alfred Jarry’s absurdist play, Ubu Roi, about a bozo who becomes the king of Poland and, well, messes up everything. The Everyday Adventures of Harriet Handelman Super-Genius by Greg Atkins follows a typical, rather ho-hum day in the life of a ten-year-old master sleuth: Get up, catch the school bus, then chase a diabolical villain across the globe.
The performances on both days are at 2 and 7 p.m. and take place at the Vineyard Playhouse.
