Congratulations to Chantal Booker, daughter of Spencer and Belinda, who scored a goal in her first Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School lacrosse game on April 7 and was “thrilled.” The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School team lost 8 to 4 in their first game of the season but will keep their spirits high.

Get well wishes to Dr. Curtis Langer as he undergoes orthopaedic surgery today at Massachusetts General Hospital. He will be accompanied to Boston by his wife, Molly Purves, and their son, Rodeo.

Get well wishes to Jean Levesque, who has been a patient at Massachusetts General Hospital. Jean is on Ellison 10 for an extended stay and I am sure he would enjoy a card from his Vineyard friends.

Noah James Manning returned home on Monday evening after spending five days in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., with his Kistner family. He was accompanied on his journey by his parents, Paul and Theresa. Four generations of the Kistner family arrived from across the country for the grand opening of Billy Bob’s Barbeque in Poughkeepsie which was the former site of the Dutch Cabin. Bill Kistner is brother of Theresa, and Bob is her nephew. Bob spent time on the Vineyard as a chef following his graduation from the Culinary Institute of America. Their opening week was spectacular as they combine good food, friends and fun. All the best to them. Noah enjoyed meeting his uncle Dan, who flew in from California and his cousins, Shane, Ryan and Nolin. It was a fun time for all.

Larry and Dee Mollin have arrived from California for a visit at their Aquinnah home. They will assist us in welcoming spring.

Get well wishes to Captain Robin Robinson, who is healing from her extensive orthopaedic surgery also performed at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Get well wishes to Todd Vanderhoop, who suffered a severe injury on Sunday afternoon and was transferred from Martha’s Vineyard Hospital to Massachusetts General Hospital. He is home now and expects a long recovery from his orthopaedic surgery.
