The summer season at Trinity Episcopal Church in Oak Bluffs begins this Sunday, June 19, at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Deborah Warner, rector of the Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole.

Trinity was the first Episcopal worship house on the Vineyard, built in 1882 in what was then Cottage City.

It offers a diverse and inspirational schedule of visiting clergy. Other celebrants this summer are: the Rev. William Heuss, who also serves as the Priest in Charge, on June 26 and July 3. On July 10, the Rev. Karen Montagno will preach, followed on July 17 and 24 by the Reverend Mark Bozutti-Jones of Trinity Wall Street in New York city. On Sunday July 31 and August 7 the Rev. Stephanie Spellers returns as celebrant, and the Right Rev. John P. Streit of the Episcopal Cathedral in Boston will preach on August 14 and 21. The Rev. Canon Edward Rodman, of the Episcopal Divinity School, will preach on August 28 and Sept. 4.

The Rev. Alden Besse will officiate at the season’s final Sunday, Sept. 11.

Trinity Church is located at the foot of Ocean Park, just across from the ferry terminal.
