Please Adopt Us

Cat adoptions at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard have slowed down considerably in the last few weeks now that all the kittens have found new homes, but we still have some fabulous adult cats who need homes. Won’t you please stop by the shelter and consider taking one of these lovely cats into your heart and home? Our adult cats include:

Binx, our shy black cat with the long white whiskers; Misty, Faith, Fisher and Ceila, also all-black cats; Socks, Liam, Annabell and Karate, black and white cats; Maxine and Rascal, beautiful tabbies; Foxy Lady, a tortoiseshell; and Chloe, Butter and Cupid, all pretty brindle cats. All cats are spayed or neutered and have had all their shots.

Boo is our sweet black and white bunny and Grace and Fernanda are two cute little hamsters, also looking for a loving family.

The shelter needs volunteers who would like to give a couple of hours a week to help with the animals. If you would like to volunteer your time, please call Lisa at the shelter. Shelter hours are Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday through Tuesday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.

Donations of cat food, cleaning supplies including laundry detergent (Tide HE is preferred) Arm and Hammer kitty litter and dish washing liquid. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Susie Fund to help pay for medical care for our shelter animals. It is most appreciated.
