Parade and Fireworks

Get your boom-boom on this July 4 in Edgartown. The annual fireworks display begins at sundown by the Edgartown harbor.

Leading up the fireworks is the Fourth of July parade also taking place in Edgartown. The parade begins at 5 p.m. at the intersection of West Tisbury and Pinehurst Roads. The parade route then snakes through town, first taking a right onto Main street then a left onto Pease’s Point Way. From there it’s another right onto Morse street, a left onto Fuller and a right onto Thayer. Sounds too confusing to all you GPS junkies who have lost the ability to read a map? No worry, just follow the noise. Or hang out near the reviewing stand in front of the Old Whaling Church. The parade finishes at the Edgartown School.

Care for a lobster on top of that holiday cheer? Lobster rolls are for sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. thanks to the good folks at the Good Shephard Parish, St. Elizabeth Church, located at 86 Main street in Edgartown. Lobster rolls with chips and a mint are $14, soda and water $1.

This Independence Day, let’s be independent together!
