Graduates

Carlisle Alessandra Williams, daughter of Leslie O’Brien and Kenneth Williams of Edgartown and Santa Monica, Calif., graduated from Georgetown University on May 22, 2010. She received a bachelor of arts degree in English and Government. Carlisle was a three-year varsity member the Georgetown Sailing Team, and a sailing instructor at the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club in the summer of 2010.

Carlisle is the Content Coordinator of GoRadio, a subsidiary of Dial Global, New York, N.Y.

Victoria L. Lazarova was awarded a master of science degree in banking and financial services management from Boston University in May 2011.

Anna L. Markwica was awarded a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education, magna cum laude, from Boston University in May 2011.

Maureen Fitzpatrick, of Oak Bluffs, received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood/elementary education from Champlain College in May, 2011

James K. Johnson of Oak Bluffs was awarded a bachelor of science in chemistry from Boston University in May.

Robert Mongillo, of Vineyard Haven, earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in visual design (graphic design/letterform), cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth undergraduate commencement was on May 22.

John R. Swan of Oak Bluffs was awarded a bachelor of arts in hospitality administration from Boston University in May.

Taylor Pierce, son of Thomas Pierce and Bonnie Pierce of Edgartown, received a degree in health sciences and human performance from Ithaca College in May.

Kealee L. Rainaud, was awarded a master of social work degree from Boston University in May 2011.

Jeffrey C. Roberts of Chilmark, received his degree, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University on May 27. Mr. Roberts majored in politics.

Allison Silva of Vineyard Haven graduated cum laude from Endicott College in Beverly with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

Jamison Williams, son of Leslie O’Brien and Kenneth Williams of Edgartown and Santa Monica, Calif., graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon on May 29.

As president of the class of 2011, Jamison was a speaker at the May 27 baccalaureate service, and the senior selected by the music department to conduct the Baccalaureate Orchestra.

At the May 28 Class Day exercises, he was honored with the Joseph T. Elliott Jr. Prize in Music, awarded to the senior who demonstrated outstanding talent and dedication to the Northfield Mount Hermon music department.

Jamison will attend New York University.

Jaron Leonard Schilling graduated from Westfield State University on Saturday, May 21, earning a bachelor of arts degree in communication. He is the son of John F. and Julie W. Schilling of Vineyard Haven.

Stephen Greenberg of West Tisbury has graduated from Boston College with a bachelor of arts degree from the University’s Carolyn A. and Peter S. Lynch School of Education with a major in human development and communication.

Matthew M. Seklecki, cum laude 2011 graduate from Saint Michael’s College with a degree in both history and political science, and winner of the Father Prevel Memorial Award given to the top male graduate each year, was named Admission Counselor for Saint Michael’s College.

Matthew started his job as official representative and recruiter for the college this month.

He is the son of Dan Seklecki and Cathy MacDonald of Vineyard Haven, Mass. He now resides in Burlington.

Krista Ben David of Oak Bluffs was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for the spring semester, earning honors.

Benjamin Bitoun of Tisbury was named to the dean’s list at the Georgia Institute of Technology for the spring semester.

Caitlyn Clark of Vineyard Haven has been named to the dean’s list at UMass Dartmouth for the spring semester.

Gonzalo Corts of Vineyard Haven was named to the Framingham State University dean’s list.

Caitlin Crossland of Edgartown was named to the dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts Boston in the spring semester.

Samuel Donegan of Vineyard Haven has been named to the dean’s list at Bryant University. Samuel is a freshman majoring in business administration.

Hilary S. Dreyer, daughter of Bill and Stephanie Dreyer of West Tisbury, was named to the dean’s list at William Smith College for spring 2011.

Christopher Edwards of Edgartown was named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for the spring semester, earning high honors.

Alexa Fisher of Aquinnah was named to the dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts Boston in the spring semester.

Alexia Schroeder of West Tisbury, a sophomore at Villanova University, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2011 spring semester.

Siobhan Smith of West Tisbury, majoring in psychology, has been named to the UMass Dartmouth Chancellor’s list for the spring semester.

James Todd of Oak Bluffs, a sophomore at Villanova University, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2011 spring semester.

Tyler Vunk of Martha’s Vineyard received a Scarbrough Adult Learner Scholarship through the Cape Cod Foundation at a ceremony on June 1 at the Cotuit Center for the Arts.
