Condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and thousands of patients of Dr. Russell S. Hoxsie, who passed away on Saturday in Wilbraham. Dr. Hoxsie cared for five generations of our Manning family members. We worked in adjoining offices together for three years and he was always a welcoming presence each morning on the way into work. Dr. Hoxsie will also be remembered as the pioneer of having the first walk-in clinic on the Vineyard when he opened a summer office at Beetlebung Corner. He will be remembered by many for his dedication and medical care over the decades on the Vineyard.
