Quansoo Quest

On Saturday, Sept. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m., Polly Hill Arboretum and Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation are teaming up to explore Quansoo. And you get to join them; no need to empty the bank account to get a gate key either.

Tim Boland, the executive director of the Polly Hill Arboretum and Kristin Fauteux, the stewardship director for Sheriff’s Meadow, will lead the informative walk of the Quansoo Farm conservation property that was gifted to Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation by Polly Hill’s sister, Florence B. (Flipper) Harris. íThe farm contains 146 acres of meadow, field and forest stretching to the shores of Black Point Pond to the south and Tisbury Great Pond to the east. The property is rich in plant life and features a woodland dominated by fantastic old, gnarled oak trees.

The cost for the walk is $15 or $10 for members. For more information and to register, call 508-693-9426, space is limited.
