I think we are all confused on what time of year it is. The sun is coming up later and later and it is setting earlier and earlier, however the temperatures are still in the mid-sixties and low seventies. I know a lot of us are not complaining as we don’t have to turn on the heat.
Happy birthday to all those who celebrated their day this past week. Congratulations to all fishermen who fished their hearts out and won a prize in the Derby. Also congratulations to all the Grand Prize winners.
Now that the Derby is over some of those darn men are sitting in trees again. Monday was the first day of bow season, so please be careful around the woods and keep your animals under watchful care.

It costs nothing to enter but each scarecrow built entitles the builder to enter a drawing for a brand new iPad! Interested builders can contact Paul at 508-693-4059.
The MVCMS Annual Thanksgiving Concert will be held Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Whaling Church in Edgartown. Bill Glazier was treated to a surprise 70th birthday party last week, hosted by his daughter, Cindy and her husband, Adam Wansiewicz of Oak Bluffs. His spouse, Susan, made sure it was kept secret till the party day and ensured family members and friends were present, including their five children with their spouses and significant others; Eric and Deb, and Alex from Colorado, Steve and Clair from Florida, Amanda from Quincy, two brothers, Andy from Maine, John from Westford, local friends, and neighbors from their previous Connecticut hometown. It was a complete surprise Bill said with lots of fun and reminiscing.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
