Please Adopt Us

This week the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is featuring a few of our older cats who desperately need new homes. First up is Socks, our most elderly cat, fostered in a loving home for the summer but now back at the shelter. The shelter is looking for an angel who will adopt Socks at no cost; her veterinary bills will be taken care of by Dr. Breese. She is a beautiful, long-haired tuxedo cat who is 15 and as sweet as can be. Our other elderly cat is Jolly, a ginger and white who loves everybody. We think he is about 12, but you would never know it. He is very active and playful.

Our newer cats are Henry, a lovely tabby; Graham, a gray and white neutered male; Ariana, a year-old tabby; and Liam, a year-old tuxedo neutered male.

Other long-term feline residents include: Chloe, a brindle and black; Butter, a sweet calico; Annabelle, who is black and white; Ceilia, who is all-black and has beautiful green eyes; Storm, a gentle tabby and white female; Bart, a young, all-black friendly fellow; and Napoleon, a handsome Maine coon cat.

Shelter hours are Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
