For anyone who has been to the Elves Faire, brought to the Island every year as a benefit for the Plum Hill Preschool, you know it is an event not to be missed. It can also get a bit crowded. You weren’t the only one to get the word.

Well, this year the Elves are headed to a new location to accommodate all the craft-loving kids and their attendant parents, not above making a holiday snowglobe or two themselves. Previously held at the Federated Church of Edgartown, the faire has moved to St. Andrew’s Church located on North Summer street in Edgartown.

The Elves Faire takes place during Christmas in Edgartown on Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy gingerbread house decorating, candle decorating, herbal sachets, picture frames, scallop or pine cone ornaments, crowns or gnome hats and much more. Adults can do some shopping too while the kids are busy by bidding on silent auction items or at the retail table and bake shop. There will also be a puppet show and kids games.

And remember, all proceeds go back to the Plum Hill School, a Waldorf preschool located in West Tisbury for children ages 2.9 to 5-years-old.
