Please Adopt Us

Sadly, the holidays are not the happiest time for all the beautiful cats at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard who need new homes. This is especially true for our featured cat his week. Nomar was surrendered to the shelter by a wonderful, caring owner who had to give him up because she must to return to Chile and can’t take him with her. He is beautiful, a Himalayan with lovely blue eyes and a soft coat who has won over the hearts of all at the shelter. Won’t you please come see him?

Our other wonderful cats are: Chloe, a lovely brindle and black who came from an abusive home and has overcome much of her shyness; Butter, brindle and white three-year-old, the perfect age for an adopted cat; Annabelle, a black and white who is also a bit shy but with a lot of love will make a wonderful house cat; Ceilia, another really special cat who loves to greet people from her perch on the desk, all black with gorgeous green eyes; Storm, one of the sweetest cats you will ever know and young, only about a year old; Graham, a handsome gray and white male with long soft fur who loves people.

It is our wish that we will have empty cages for Christmas. Please help us make this wish come true.

If you would like to join Lisa in the parade on Dec. 10 with your dog on a leash, please be at the school at 9:45 and look for the gray shelter truck. It’s a lot of fun for you and your dog. For information please call the shelter.
