Mystery writer Cynthia Riggs and photographer Lynn Christoffers have teamed up to create a guidebook of Martha’s Vineyard from the viewpoint of Victoria Trumbull, Ms. Riggs’ 92-year-old, fictional super sleuth.

The duo will celebrate and discuss their new book at the West Tisbury Library on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 4:30 p.m.

Cynthia Riggs lives in West Tisbury and is the eighth generation to live in the Cleaveland House, which she runs as a bed and breakfast catering to poets, writers, and other creative people. She is the author of ten mysteries, all set on the Vineyard.

Lynn Christoffers has exhibited her photography and mixed media installations since 1988, both in New York and on Martha’s Vineyard. In New York she acquired art for the corporate offices of Morgan Bank, and is presently curator for the work of the late sculptor Stella Waitzkin. A summer resident of Gay Head (now Aquinnah) for seventeen years, she moved to West Tisbury in 2005.
