The Vineyard girls’ basketball team’s season came to an end Monday night, with the team falling 55-41 to number-two Fairhaven.

This was the first season the team has been to the playoffs since 2003. The girls entered the tournament on a last-minute regular season win and were seeded eleventh. They won their first two games, defeating Ashland and East Bridgewater, to advance to the semifinal round.
