No Contest Up-Island

Chilmark voters will elect a new selectman next month.

Four-term selectman Frank Fenner has decided not to seek reelection, and William Rossi will run for the seat. Mr. Rossi, a real estate agent in Edgartown and owner of the Chilmark Store, ran against selectman Jonathan Mayhew and lost in 2010.

Nomination papers were due this week. The annual town election is April 25.

There are no contested races and no candidates have filed nomination papers for the position of fence viewer.

There are also no contested races in West Tisbury. Selectman Jeffrey (Skipper) Manter 3rd is running unopposed for another term. The West Tisbury town election is April 12.
