Golf will be on the minds of the young and old tomorrow, March 17, at the Federated Church when the Martha’s Vineyard Ecumenical Youth Group hosts an 18-hole mini-golf tournament in downtown Edgartown, at the South Summer street church and at the South Water street parish house.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 each or $15 per family (if 4 or more). There will be refreshments.

The event is a fundraiser for the youth group’s outreach and ongoing programs. They have two projects this spring and are in need of raising money to underwrite the costs associated with the trips.

In April, 10 youths and 3 adults travel to Arizona to assist at a Navaho reservation. In May, fifteen youths, accompanied by 3 adults, head to Boston to assist the homeless and hungry.

All proceeds from the mini-golf event will be used to support the on-going mission work of the Martha’s Vineyard Ecumenical Youth Group.

The mini-golf holes were conceived and created by the youth group.
