Tisbury residents will vote on a number of housekeeping items in a special town meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Tisbury School Gymnasium.

Among the 15 articles, voters will be asked to borrow $200,000 for septic system upgrades, dispose of three town-owned automobiles and one boat, establish a trust fund for town employee retirement obligations, approve a sidewalk easement for the Martha’s Vineyard Museum’s new locaiton, and establish a fish committee to regulate herring fishing at Chappaquonsett Pond and Creek,

On Tuesday, assistant town clerk Joanna Jernegan said there was some concern in town hall that the lack of big ticket items would not attract a quorum for the meeting. If not, the special town meeting would be moved to before the annual town meeting on April 10, she said. One hundred voters are needed to constitute a quorum.
