Please Adopt Us
The sweet little pug named Rascal is back with us at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard. He was adopted right away but came back because the other dog in the house decided that Rascal had visited long enough. We think Rascal would do better being the only dog — he gets along beautifully with cats and has made friends with Lily and Cyrus and Ceilia who have the freedom to roam the shelter and greet everyone who comes through the door. Won’t you please come and take Rascal for a walk? You will fall in love with him.
Our beautiful cats are still looking for new homes. They are: Barley, a loving tortoiseshell who has adjusted well; Butter and Chloe, both brindle tortoiseshells; Deacon, our sweet ginger tiger, and Lily, an all-black cat who loves people and would make a wonderful lap cat.
In addition to the cats and Rascal , we have two adorable guinea pigs named Hamlet and Ophelia; both are brown and white and only a few months old, and are looking for new homes.
As many know by now, the shelter is no longer under the umbrella of the county and receives no money from it — and sadly donations have slowed down considerably in the last few weeks. The shelter depends solely on donations. We need your help and are so grateful to everyone who contributes to this worthy organization.
Please make checks out to The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard; the mailing address is P.O. Box 1829, Edgartown MA 02539.
