It’s a big week at the Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary.

Today, April 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., they are throwing a Pinkletink Pizza Party. After pizza everyone heads outdoors to listen to the frogs send forth their mating calls. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children; nonmembers pay $7 for adults and $5 for children.

On Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to noon, the sanctuary is hosting a Work for Wildlife Day. Activities include helping to prepare the butterfly garden, building a picnic table so kids can eat above the ants and other hungry crawlers, and the battle against bittersweet to help stave off this invasive species. After the work there will be a barbecue lunch for all volunteers.

On Monday, April 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. and again on May 4, from 9 to 11 a.m., anyone interested can participate in Horseshoe Crab survey training and become citizen scientists helping to monitor the Island’s horseshoe crab population.
