Committee Appointees

The Edgartown selectmen Monday appointed members to a newly-configured town dredging advisory committee.

Gary Look from the marine advisory committee, Edward W. Vincent Jr. from the conservation commission and Ralph Case from the shellfish committee were appointed to the committee, with selectman Margaret Serpa voting against the appointments.

Mr. Vincent, an attorney who admitted to sufficient facts in felony charges last year, was also reappointed to the conservation commission. Ms. Serpa also voted against the appointment.

Dudley Levick and J. Howell Kelly were appointed as at-large members to the new dredge committee. Five people, including current dredge committee chairman David Nash, sent letters of interest for the at-large spots.

“I would like to see some new people . . . we could use some new blood on this committee,” said selectman Art Smadbeck.
