Pastor Takes Florida Post

The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Winter recently became the interim head of staff of the First Presbyterian Church in Haines City, Fla. For five years Dr. Winter was the pastor of FaithMV Church in Edgartown. During his time on the Island he helped lead Inspiration Weekend featuring Dr. Charles Stanley, senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta. Outside his work in the church he was coordinator of the annual Christmas parade in Edgartown and was director of entertainment for the new Martha’s Vineyard Sharks baseball team. His wife Judy worked as a nurse for Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod, and was employed as an ICU nurse at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, a summer camp nurse for FOCUS and Weight Watchers.
