What is with this crazy weather? Did our friends from Connecticut bring it? Welcome back to so many seasonal faces. Wanda Denton has returned from West Hartford and is gardening. Jim and Trude Hart have returned from Florida and are gardening. Felicity Tuttle and Jim Weisman came down from Winchester and are gardening. Bill and Jan Stokes arrived from Waterbury and are gardening. It’s great to see them, but they all make me feel guilty because I’m not gardening.
Don’t miss the great party headed by Kate Taylor tomorrow night to benefit Ricky Vanderhoop. Tickets are available at Rosecuts, La Choza, Alley’s and at the door. I’ll see you there.
Ria Cimeno gave a lovely barbecue birthday party for her sister, Tamma, the day after Tamma’s birthday last Thursday. Tamma had spent the day having surgery in Boston so the party was a particular highlight.
Everyone is excited about the new Bunch of Grapes location. My big question is, what is going into the old store? Anyone know? I’ve been watching workers prepare for painting, but haven’t found a parking space to stop and ask what is going in.
Our Martha’s Vineyard Film Society has a new time for summer showings, 8 p.m. at the Katharine Cornell Theatre. Tomorrow night’s offering is a British drama, The Deep Blue Sea. You also can check out the progress of their new movie theatre being built in the Tisbury Marketplace.

June 9 is a party for Elizabeth Baldwin, Tasha Bahal, Naromar DePaula, Jr. and Mark Guthries. June 10 belongs to Ruth Stiller, Joshua Robinson White, Grace Schmidt, Crystal Baker and Keosha Walker. June 11 shines on John Crews, Flo Koster, Mareda Gaither-Graves and Suzanne Walker. June 12 is shared by Emmanuelly Nascimento and Eleanor Barret Williams. June 13 honors Les Leland, Elise Gardella, Ray LaPorte and Ruth McGorty. On June 13 Holly Towles and Patsy Wheeler celebrate. And on June 14 Sandi Gagne, Mike Mayrand, Jason Goodwin and Cheryl Funk take the cake. Many happy returns.
