Bloomsday
James Joyce didn’t name Bloomsday, a worldwide celebration of music and drama based on his work, but he did choose the date. It’s June 16, the day his most famous book, Ulysses, takes place, and the date of his first romantic liaison with his future wife, Nora Barnacle.
Join Joyce fans in celebrating the master’s literary genius tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven. Performers include Will Pfluger, Gerry Yukevich, Katrina Nevin, Buck Reidy, Haley Hewson, Anna Yukevich and George Ricci. Musical selections are supervised by Phil Dietterich on piano. Natalie Rose Liberace completes the show with her rendering of Molly from Ulysses.
Tickets cost $15 and may be purchased at the door. Call 508 696-0539 or visit artsandsociety.org.
