Gladys Anna Widdiss received a grand testament from those who admired and loved her over the years at her graveside service held Sunday morning and performed by the Rev. Roger Spinney and Aquinnah Medicine Man Jason Baird, under the guidance of Chapman, Cole and Gleason.

Family and friends gathered at her home throughout the week from many points along the East Coast and across the nation, sending floral bouquets, planters full of blossoms, and many kind words of encouragement for her family. Friends arrived from not only the Aquinnah tribe but also the Mashpee, Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Narragansett, Mohegan, and Pequot tribes — many of those she had worked with closely over the decades. There was a large contingent of family friends present from their days of residing in Wayland, friends and classmates of her children and children she worked with in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts who are now adults. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
