President Barack Obama may not have made the trip to pick up his Person You’d Most Like to Have Lunch With award, but scores of other Island favorites turned out to claim their title as the Best of the Vineyard.

Winner of the best fish market, best yoga class and just about everything in between packed into the Flatbread Company Wednesday evening for a celebratory presentation of Martha’s Vineyard Magazine’s annual awards.
 
While Jeremy Berlin tickled the keyboard ivories, Giordano’s, Offshore Ale, the Net Result and Sharky’s Cantina walked away with multiple honors in dining categories. Scottish Bakehouse, the Black Dog and Slice of Life followed hot on their heels. Newcomer MV Chowder Company won for best chowder.
 
Coming in strong among clothing outfitters were the Green Room and Basics.
 
The Possible Dreams Auction was once again named top charity event.
 
The best fishing spot reflected a diversity of styles, with picturesque Menemsha edging out wild Wasque.
 
Circuit Style Salon, the Sultans of Swing, Mardell’s Gifts & Jewelry Shop, the Little House Café and Jan Buhrman’s Kitchen Porch, all first-time Best of the Vineyard inclusions, took runner-up slots in their respective, hard-fought categories.
