On Sunday, July 1, Chaplain Major Pinkie Fischer will be the guest preacher at the 10 a.m. service at Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs.

CH Fischer was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y and enlisted in the Army in June 1996 in the Signal Corps, where she served for four years in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. In 2000, she received her direct commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

CH Fischer is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Okla., where she received a diploma in teaching. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in international community development, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in theological and historical studies from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry Degree. She is ordained with Rhema Ministerial Association International and endorsed with Chaplaincy Full Gospel Churches.

As a chaplain, she served in various support, airborne, and special operation units as well as having served in both Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. She currently serves as the 4th Regimental chaplain, United States Corps of Cadets at West Point, N.Y.
