The Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs welcomes Dr. Roberto S. Miranda from CongregaciónLeón deJudá in Boston, at 10 a.m. this Sunday, July 22.

Reverend Miranda has served CongregaciónLeón deJudá as senior pastor since 1985. He is a founding member of this dynamic, urban congregation, located in lower Roxbury in Boston. The church serves the Hispanic community through various ministries.

Reverend Miranda is a Phillips Academy at Andover graduate, has a B.A. from Princeton in International Affairs, and a Ph.D. from Harvard in Romance Languages and Latin American Literature. He has traveled and ministered in Europe and Latin America, and serves in various religious and secular boards. He is the founder of Covenant for New England, a multi-denominational organization that brings together various religious ministries for this purpose.

The Union Chapel welcomes people of all faiths. The service starts at 10 a.m. An organ prelude by Union Chapel organist and music director David Rhoderick begins at 9:40 a.m.
