The town of Tisbury is getting set for their own Twelve Days of Christmas celebration. The events begin on Wednesday, Dec. 12, and continue each day through Dec. 23. The events are as follows:

Dec. 12: a holiday window contest judged by senior art students at MVRHS; Dec. 13: The Polar Express screening for free at 3:30 p.m. at the Capawock Theater on Main street; Dec. 14: Friends and Family night from 3 to 8 p.m. along Main street and the Tisbury Market Place; Dec. 15: Elves come to Main street; Dec. 16: Santa Claus arrives by ferry at 2 p.m. and then holds court at the Black Dog Tavern; Dec. 17: Children of the Tisbury school decorate the windows of Shirt Tales; Dec. 18: Community service award to an eighth grade Tisbury student; Dec. 19: Gift to The Vineyard Committee on Hunger; Dec. 20: Holiday raffle winner announced; Dec. 21: Friends and Family night from 3 to 8 p.m.; Dec. 22: Fred Fisher family hayrides from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Dec. 23: The Fourway Carriage House holiday lighted tree and train sets at 74 Franklin street.
