This week Adult and Community Education (ACE MV) begins its winter course offerings. Many of the courses include college credit and thanks to the MV Family Center, all Thursday evening ACE MV classes at the regional high school include free childcare.

Cape Cod Community College (CCCC) is offering PSY 101-67: General Psychology through ACE MV. This three credit course is required for nursing and many health programs and meets the social/behavioral science requirement for associate degree concentrations. The class begins Thursday, Jan. 31.

Fitchburg State University (FSU) will offer a course for graduate and undergraduate credit titled Arts, Inquiry, Media and Culture in Education. Registration takes place on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the regional high school beginning at 9 a.m. This course is transferable as an elective in education.

Both college credit courses are open to juniors and seniors in high school as dual enrollment with a recommendation from a guidance counselor.

ACE MV is also offering a GED course and a College Skills Prep and CLEP Prep (College Level Examination Program) for the CLEP math exam. There are also courses in psychology, photography, social work, cooking, computers, the list is extensive.
