Kathleen Fresher Samways, DPT, has been named interim clinical director for the Vineyard Nursing Association, the VNA announced this week.

Dr. Samways has spent her career in community-based health, working as a physical therapist in home health agencies, including both the VNA and Vineyard Nursing Service, as well as in schools and independent living settings. She was manager of the rehabilitation services at the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Providence and, most recently, the manager of rehabilitation and quality improvement services at Vineyard Nursing Association.

She replaces Sandie Corr-Dolby, a 17-year veteran of the VNA, who recently resigned citing personal reasons.
