Fran and Annemarie Cullen of New Hampshire and formerly of Vineyard Haven announce the engagement of their son Andrew Cullen to Jacqueline Furlone of Dover, N.H. Jacqueline’s parents are Robert and Christina Furlone of Spofford, N.H.

Andrew is the oldest grandchild of the late Alfred and Catherine Ferro of Vineyard Haven. Alfred (Freddy) was a longtime governor of the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority, and Catherine (Pat) was an employee of the former Martha’s Vineyard Cooperative Bank. Andrew is also the oldest grandchild of Dorothy Cullen of Winchester, Mass., and the late Honorable Francis P. Cullen, the former presiding justice of Woburn District Court.

Andrew attended the Tisbury School before moving with his family to New Hampshire. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps before completing his undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire. He met his fiance Jacqueline while pursuing their graduate degrees in public administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Jacqueline received her undergraduate degree from Simmons College and her graduate degree from the University of New Hampshire, where she now works as program assistant for the Sustainability Institute. Andrew is employed with AAA in sales.

When not busy planning their wedding, Andrew and Jaqueline enjoy climbing the Presidential Range in the White Mountains during all four seasons, as well as camping and biking.

An August wedding is planned and will be held at Jacqueline’s parents’ home overlooking the fields and forests where her father grew up.
