The Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center invites everyone to a group project that future generations will appreciate. Guided by fabric artist Nancy Katz, adults and teens will learn how to make a large community tallit with enough room for approximately 30 people to stand under. The fabric will be used as part of the traditional celebrations at the Hebrew Center. This project is called Making an Heirloom and it begins Sunday, March 9, at noon in the Harriet B. Freedberg Learning Center at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center, 130 Center street in Vineyard Haven.
