The Gay Head Gallery begins its season on Sunday, June 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a special exhibit of silver print photographs by Barbara Norfleet from her work The Landscapes of the Cold War. The exhibit is related to the public forum on the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant that takes place June 30 in Vineyard Haven. Also featured are paintings by John Nickerson Athearn, Jenifer Christy, Marston Clough, Anna Lowell Finnerty, Doug Kent, Steven Kleinrock, Christian Heckscher, Joan Kennedy, Ellen Liman, Richard Pawlak, Julia Purinton, Enos Ray, Matthew Smith, Elizabeth Lockhart Taft, with photographs by Peggy Roth Major and Joel Sartore, and glass works by Barney Zeitz.
Gallery visitors can also check out the Scapegoats Goatscaping handiwork. The live goats have been munching invasive plants and poison ivy, gearing up for the special opening.
