The MassDOT Registry of Motor Vehicles Division announced plans to renovate its branch on Martha’s Vineyard, which will require a single-day closure on Friday, Dec. 19.

The weekend renovation and maintenance project includes installing new accessible transaction counters, replacing carpet, furniture and equipment as well as painting and updating the restrooms. The branch is scheduled to reopen for business on Monday, Dec. 22. The Edgartown branch is located at 11 A street in the Martha’s Vineyard Regional Transit Authority Building in the Airport Business Park.
