It has been 30 years since Susan and Sherm Goldstein wagered all they had and purchased the property on the corner of Main street and State Road in Vineyard Haven. Sherm, a marriage and family counselor working at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, and Susan, a West Tisbury teacher, knew nothing about the hospitality business, but knew that they both wanted to be part of the fabric of Martha’s Vineyard. They could not have predicted that 30 years later, Mansion House would still be a family-owned business as they work with their children, Josh Goldstein and Nili Beth Morgan. Today, the rebuilt Mansion House boasts 48 guest rooms and 11,250 sq. ft. of health club, combining the charm of Tisbury with state of the art services.
To celebrate 30 years of ownership and to thank the Island community, Mansion House is once again offering a great staycation for Island residents during the month of January. Rooms are just $30 per person, based on double occupancy. A highly anticipated annual event, the special gives residents a chance to experience what visitors enjoy year round. Island guests can take a dip in the swimming pool, steam, sauna and hot tub, work up a sweat with a class in the health club or star gaze on the cupola deck. The inn offers room upgrades at check in when available. Massages and other spa services can be scheduled.
