Oliver is an affectionate older gentleman, friendly with humans, frequently responding with a loud rumbling purr. As he is 12 years old, the shelter is not requesting an adoption donation, just the promise to love him and give him a forever home.

Our sweet, friendly black and white tuxedo cat has many names, including Boston, Big Baby and Bob. He will be a great companion in the right home. He is deaf, so other cats sometimes make him a tad uncomfortable. He would probably prefer to be an only pet.

The Gump brothers, Forrest and Bubba, had to give up pride of place in their last home to two human babies. They can be adopted either singly or together. These two all black siblings are three years old, have the most beautiful eyes, and are ready to go.

Our newest stray, January, is a young, intact male, brought in from Aquinnah. Although he has spent most of his time outside in the woods, he is as warm and cuddly as an orange tiger could be.

Linus is a gray tabby with white feet, a stray from Oak Bluffs. He is rather large, probably because the neighborhood he came from (County Road and Tia Anna Lane) had many spots he would visit and get a snack. He is also quite friendly, and a really handsome dude.

All of these cats are ready to go to a home. For more information, please call us at 508-627-8662.

Save these dates! Offshore Ale is having a fundraising event on Feb. 19. Keep checking this column for details as we receive them. The rabies clinic, usually held in April at the animal shelter, will be moved up a little this year. It will be held on March 28, the last Saturday in March. This annual event allows the shelter to offer low cost rabies shots to cats and dogs. Registration forms can be downloaded from the events page of our website, animalshelterofmv.org
