The Vineyard Sinfonietta musicians have been practicing for a presentation and party for friends of Edith (Edie) Yoder who has announced that she will be moving to Indiana in May. Although Ms. Yoder is an accomplished flautist and orchestral conductor, her prime focus is artistic painting and she has found an artists’ colony there.

As a tribute and farewell, the Vineyard Sinfonietta musicians will perform a few selections ranging from Mozart to Joplin followed by a brief farewell for Ms. Yoder. The event takes place at the Methodist Chilmark Community Church on Friday, April 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
