After a long winter, it is finally time for the boys and girls of summer to get their game faces on. Little Leaguers, parents and anyone else who is ready to celebrate the real beginning of spring will gather in Oak Bluffs for the annual opening day parade. The route goes from the Oak Bluffs police station up Circuit avenue to Veira Park on Saturday, May 2, at 10 a.m. Teams and umpires meet at the Oak Bluffs police station at 9:30 a.m.

The rainbow of team shirts and players eager to run the bases will follow the parade route to the park where they’ll pose for team pictures, enjoy a cookout and hear the crack of the first bat at noon. For more information, visit mvlittleleague.org.
