On July 11, storyteller Susan Klein takes the stage at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs to tell tales in an event called Story for a Starry Night.

The evening will also include the photography of Alan Brigish, and the piano playing of Gary Girouard.

Ms. Klein and Mr. Brigish have collaborated before with their words and pictures on the books Now and Zen and Bountiful, a history of the fair. Ms. Klein’s stories are autobiographical and encompasses growing up on Martha’s Vineyard, waitressing and teaching school, her work as an itinerant storyteller in Alaskan Yup’ik Eskimo villages in the Kuskokwim Delta and the native peoples of the Alaskan panhandle. Mr. Brigish grew up in South Africa and has traveled the word taking pictures.

The show starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 11. Tickets are $25, available at the Cottage Museum in the Camp Ground. The event is a benefit for the Tabernacle Preservation Fund.
