Martha’s Vineyard Community Services will hold the first annual Enchilada fest Friday, August 7 as a benefit for Daybreak Clubhouse, a service the supports adults overcoming the challenges of mental illness. The event takes place at the Portuguese-American Club in Oak Bluffs, and features Rita’s famous Tex-Mex enchiladas with the trimmings. There will also be a silent auction and raffle items, and music provided by Willy Mason with Slow Leslie, Charlotte Benjamin, and Michael Haydn.

The doors open at 5 p.m., with the auction and raffle from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and music from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets for the whole enchilada — dinner, the auction, raffle, and music — are $25 per person. Or come just for the music, with a $10 cover charge. To purchase tickets in advance contact Daybreak Clubhouse at 508-696-7563.
