Vacationers on Chappaquiddick found a stray cat on the porch and brought it in to the shelter. Jordan, as we’ve named her, is a small, affectionate, black cat with an unusual right eye. If you think this may be your missing kitty please contact the shelter immediately.
We are happy to report that the golden retriever puppies have left for their forever homes. We wish the new families many years of happiness. Storm the husky, the pups’ former housemate, has an adoption pending. We’re all hoping for a perfect match.
And yellow Labrador Lily is still recuperating at the shelter before rejoining her new family.
Pretty, golden-eyed, polydactyl, orange and white Polly is one of the sweetest cats you could meet. All those extra toes make her look just like a ballerina standing in first position. And we are happy to report that Polly has just been adopted.
The competition is still on in the cat room. Team Black and Team Orange, besides competing to see who can be adopted first, are also competing for the best spots to be seen by perspective adoptees. Team Orange consists of affectionate, four-year old, golden-eyed, orange and white Nike, and elder statesman Toby. Toby is a very handsome,a creamsicle and white ragdoll with lovely pale blue eyes. Due to Toby’s age the adoption fee has been waived. Team Black is made up of beautiful, six-year-old brothers Forrest and Bubba, who are both coal black.
Daenerys, the elderly dilute calico with a lovely disposition, is taking life easy in the cat condo. The adoption fee will be waived for the angel who makes her life complete.
Shelter hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
