The 27th Pat West Gaff Rig and Schooner Race is this Saturday, Sept. 19. The race honors Francis (Pat) West Jr., and is a benefit for Sail Martha’s Vineyard.

On Friday night, the Skipper’s Meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at the Gannon & Benjamin boat yard. Registration for the race will be accepted up until the start of the meeting. The entry fee is $40.

This year, the race committee consists of Scott DiBiaso (Juno), Nat Benjamin (Charlotte) and Jeff Craig (Corineus), who was recruited to the race committee as Nat Benjamin is currently sailing in and around the waters of Nova Scotia.
