A gallery of plein air painting done by nine Island Artists has popped-up at 14 Church street, Vineyard Haven (next to the Vineyard Playhouse). The gallery is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. through Sept. 30. There will also be frequent events to “paint with an artist.”

The artists included are Judith Howells, June Schoppe, Kanta Lipsky, Kate Taylor, Lowely Finnerty, Liz Taft, Leslie Baker, Marjorie Mason and Valentine Estabrook.

There will be music nights at the gallery on Sept. 25 and Sept. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 27, Cheri Mason will give a plein air demonstration from 6 to 8 p.m.
