On Friday night, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. you get to go to the theatre to see a Tony-nominated play, written and directed by and starring Vineyarders, all without ever leaving your living room. PBS is airing Act One, the story of Moss Hart, by James Lapine and starring Tony Shalhoub.

The play has even more Vineyard roots. It began as a workshop at Vineyard Arts Project, near where Mr. Lapine lives in Edgartown. It premiered at Lincoln Center in April of 2014. The play received five Tony nominations, including best play and best actor. It also stars Santino Fontana, and Andrea Martin of Second City Television fame who often stars in Vineyard Playhouse productions.

Tonight’s show is part of Live from Lincoln Center, an ongoing series that brings New York theatre to a living room near you.
