The shelter has two residents in the cat room. Beauty is a long-haired, frosted tip seven-year-old female cat, and she is a true beauty with a delightful personality. She is particularly partial to belly rubs. She has been vetted and is ready to go to her forever home. Please come by and meet her if you are a lover of long hair cats. She is residing with the orange senior citizen feline Milo. Due to his advanced age Milo’s adoption fee will be waived.
Our newest feline arrival is Chaps. He is white with black markings and approximately 10 years old. He is waiting for a visit from the vet before he can be adopted, but would love to meet you if you think you might be looking for a new companion.
The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s spay and neuter wagon will be paying a visit again this month. At this time all spots have been filled for November. If you are interested in reserving a space for a future date, please contact your local animal control officer.
The spay/neuter wagon will now be coming to the island on a regular basis and the shelter is seeking donations to help sponsor this important service. Donations can made to the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard or through your local animal control officer.
A big thank you to everyone who came to visit Zoomie and her kittens Luna and Lila during their stay with us. We are happy to report that everyone will be going to their forever homes next week.
And congratulation as well to Bob Marley, the Labrador mix, and Stella, the chocolate Labrador retriever, who are both settling nicely into their new forever homes. We wish all of them many happy years together.
