The Martha’s Vineyard Sharks have announced that Shana Metzger is returning for a second season as the collegiate baseball team’s general manager.

Ms. Metzger, 33, has 12 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, the team said in a press release, and she is also an attorney specializing in business and intellectual property law.

The team’s president and director of baseball operations, Kyle Fiore, said Ms. Metzger joined the team last June as a short-term consultant and stayed on for the rest of the season.

The Sharks are a founding franchise of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. The team will begin the 2016 season on Thursday, June 2 with a game against the North Shore Navigators.
