To pitch in during the school break, churches around the Island and the West Tisbury Library are hosting “Just in Case” breakfasts for children who depend on the school lunch program for meals each day. During the vacation from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3, the West Tisbury Library, St. Andrew’s Church in Edgartown, Grace Church in Vineyard Haven and Trinity Methodist Church in Oak Bluffs will supply breakfast packs to any child who needs one. Breakfast packs consist of familiar, sealed, commercially-packaged food, and there is no need of refrigeration, microwaving or utensils.

If there are additional needs for families with two or more students and an adult family member, St. Andrews Church in Edgartown will provide a sit-down breakfast from 9-11 a.m. each day.
