Well it certainly is not starting to look a lot like Christmas. The weather is warm even though the sun is not shining. It does not look like we will have a white Christmas at all. There are a few people who are thrilled with the weather, but I think true New Englanders are a little disappointed.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this week. Big balloons go out to Abigail Gilley and John Lynch who celebrated Dec. 19; Kaua Abreu, Dec. 20; Samantha Foltz, Dec. 22; and to Hannah Rabasca and Zachary Vukota who celebrated their day Dec. 24.

Birthday wishes go out to Leah Cimeno, who will be turning five on Dec. 26. Leah is looking forward to welcoming her new baby sister soon.

It is always hard to have a birthday so close to Christmas as the fanfare is a little less with all the Christmas commotion going on.

That being said extra special balloons go out to Leah, Josh Kresel, who celebrates his day Dec. 24; Ernie Carlamagno, Dec. 21; Jackie Panek, Dec. 25; and to my great nephew Benjamin who celebrated his day Dec. 23.

I didn’t take my own advice to start shopping earlier. But it seemed like it was so far away at the time. But guess what it is here and I am still rushing to get things done.

Granite lines are long, downtown has life, you cannot get a boat reservation unless you want one at noon and come back at three. Everyone is buzzing.

The post office is full of packages ready to be delivered or go out. The UPS and FedEx trucks are full and things still need to be wrapped. Next year I am starting earlier.

Not much to report but I would like to wish each and every one of you a very happy holiday. If you are with family or special friends I hope you enjoy their company. If you are home and know that there is a senior in your area check in with them or call and wish them a happy holiday it will put a smile on their face which is the best present of all.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
