Eighth grader Danielle Middleton has been crowned the champion in the 2016 Tisbury School National Geographic Society Geography Bee.

Danielle won the honor by correctly answering all three championship round questions. (For those that want to test their own geography knowledge, the answers are below.)

  •  Gray wolves were once wiped out from Yellowstone National Park, but have made a comeback in recent years due to conservation efforts. Yellowstone National Park is located in Wyoming, Montana, and which other state?

  • In the popular Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling, Harry catches a train to Hogwarts at the Kings Cross station in what major European city?

  • British Columbia’s largest city hosted the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup championship game. Name this city.

Danielle and other classroom champions met in the school final. Fifth-grader Matthew Pouliot was the runner-up. Other contestants included eighth-grader Peter Burke, seventh-graders Lexie Gardner and Nate Porterfield, sixth-grader Ruairi Mullin, and fifth-grader Linus Munn.
